Who we are
We’re Gerard and Mel, two Australian snorkelling enthusiasts who like to share honest unbiased commentary on snorkelling sites we’ve visited.
Searching for free impartial snorkelling guidance on sites to explore is hard to find. So, because we’ve been bitten by the snorkelling bug, we thought we should do the next best thing and do it ourselves – share what we’ve discovered.
So here it is. Snorkelling Adventures. This is who we are and what we do. We want to share our snorkelling adventures to hopefully help you with your own underwater explorations.
We’re primarily focused on the Pacific Ocean and Australia but we’re slowly visiting other areas as well.
And we don’t dive – just snorkel.
What we offer
We give a small commentary on the country or island that we visit. Then comment on:
- getting to the site
- tourist operator
- the impact of tourism on corals and environment
- fish, coral and sea weed/grass species
- weather conditions and water temperature.
And if it’s worth noting:
- why we chose the snorkelling site
- nearby accommodation
- cost.
A small note
We’re not experts in identifying fish and coral species but we’ll do our best to name them. We welcome your input, if you know the name of fish, coral and sea grasses and weeds – let us know. Feel free to make comments on the post page or contact us here.
